Indar Concept Sketches

Description

After weeks of unfortunate events, I finally have the chance to upload Asha's Daeva rival, Indar.

To me, Indar is the complete opposite of the Fire Amesha Spenta, so it makes complete sense I made him up as the Daeva (Middle Eastern version of demons or devils) of Ice. Personality-wise, Indar's bit of a trouble maker to both the Amesha Spenta and the Daeva themselves. Cunning, sly and more interested in having a fight against Asha rather let his 'boss', Ahriman swallow the whole world in darkness, otherwise his fun on fighting the Fire Amesha Spenta rival would be most definitely over and he would get extremely bored. Hey, to me, Indar's a bit of an anti-hero than most Daeva.

And below, are some of the sketches to better convey his personality:

1. Asha Vs. Indar in a sword fight. Whereas the Fire Amesha Spenta's fight style has a more precise and calculated appraoch in the art of Iaido(yes, I know this didn't exist in Persia, but since Asha is the keeper of the Babel Library, he read a lot of sword martial arts books and implement his fighting style), Indar's a lot more reckless and uses the philosophy of 'hack-and-slash everything in sight'. XD

2. Height Difference: Let's just say that both of them are the same as each other.

3. And here are Indar and Asha in modern, yet sleek suits. XD No idea why.

4. Despite the Ice Daeva and Fire Amesha Spenta are forever eternal enemies, they're very friendly with each other and don't get to the point where they're literally fighting each other to the death. However, Asha does get annoyed from time to time whenever Indar's flirting with Scheherazade. XD

Phew, I'm glad I've got this one out of the way. Maybe I shall explore Indar's heated, but friendly rivalry with Asha sometime, later.
